AFL Premiership 2005 is the 2005 edition of the Australian rules football game for the PlayStation 2. You play as a player in the Australian Football League. This is the next edition after many other editions such as AFL 99 (EA Sports), AFL 2003, AFL 2004 and AFL Premiership Edition (IR Gurus). When Acclaim shut down its operations in Australia, Sony Computer Entertainment (SCEE) got publishing and distributing rights to the game. Because SCEE had an exclusive period with the title, initially it was only launched on PlayStation 2. However, THQ has released a PC and Xbox version of the game. It is only available in Australia.
